Herd Recognition Program
Each year, Accelerated Genetics is honored to present it's top herds throughout the membership areas which include the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Northern Illinois. To qualify for the Herd Recognition Program, membership area dairy's must have a combined fat and protein (CFP) level of no less than 1,400 pounds and be at least 75% Accelerated Genetics-sired. Last year, over 191 herds were recognized for their achievements, 89% of those herds utilize the Accelerated Genetics PACE Young Sire Program.

What is the Herd Recognition Program?
Each year Accelerated Genetics is honored to award our top producing dairy herds a special gift and invitation to a regional award luncheon.
Who is eligible to apply for the Herd Recognition Program?
Any Accelerated Genetics dairy herd within the cooperative membership counties in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Northern Illinois are eligible to apply.
How do you apply for the Herd Recognition Program?
Membership area herd owners may ask their local Accelerated Genetics Technician or Membership Sales Representative for an application. Or contact Kelly Sheehan at 1-800-451-9275 ext. 221 or by email at ksheehan@accelgen.com.
When should you apply for the Herd Recognition Program?
Membership area heard owners can apply at the end of each calendar year, December and early January.
Why should you apply for the Herd Recognition Program?
Each award winner will receive a special award honoring their outstanding achievement as well as receive special recognition at a luncheon held in each regional area.
Criteria Accepted for the Herd Recognition Program:
- Applicant has a dairy herd within the cooperative membership counties in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Northern Illinois.
- Applicant has 75% or more of the cows milking in the herd, as of December, sired by Accelerated Genetics.
- Applicant is currently using Accelerated Genetics services.
- Applicant has a minimum of 10 cows included in the herd average.
- Applicant must submit a December test sheet to verify herd average of 1400 pounds or more of combined fat and protein.
