With the release of the February 2007 Dairy Sire Summary information, 014HO04026 Sildahl Airraid EX-92 continues his climb up the ranking lists. Accelerated Genetics’ sire analyst Dave Erf comments, “This summary resulted in major increases in milk, fat and protein levels for Airraid. Couple these production increases with his continued elite type status and Airraid achieves his highest levels and rankings for TPI and Net Merit.”

Airraid is now at the lofty levels of +1875 milk, +65 fat and +40 protein. This sire summary continues a trend of increasing production summaries for Airraid. But to classify him as just a production bull is missing his elite type status. At +2.87 PTAT with +2.44 UDC and +2.73 FLC, Airraid ranks among the top type transmitters of the breed. In addition he is +1888 TPI and +443 NM$.

“Airraid has the ability to sire great udders and super feet and legs in a package that is stunningly balanced,” states, Erf. “While we attribute much to his sire, BW Marshall, we must also give due credit to his cow family.” The dam of Airraid, Sildahl Manfred Air Attack, is a VG-87, Dam of Merit, Manfred daughter.

When examining Airraid daughters, it is very easy to spot them within a herd. “Airraid daughters are slightly above average in size and have good width and depth. They are dairy with slightly higher pins and have nice width of rump,” says Erf. In addition he adds, “Their feet and legs are spectacular. They have correct leg set, a steep foot and legs that track straight when viewed from behind. Tremendous fore and rear udders highlight mammaries that are well above average for every trait.”

Overall it is the unmatched combination of production and type that keep Airraid in the spotlight. He has seen significant usage around the world as a sire of sons and will continue to do so.
