Power Packed Jersey Lineup at Accelerated Genetics (8/14/07)
With the release of the August 2007 Dairy Sire Summaries, Accelerated Genetics continues with its powerfully packed Jersey sire lineup of breed-leading sires.
Leading off the breed for Accelerated Genetics is 014JE00408 Forest Glen VD Jades Jimmie-ET. He made great strides by jumping into the top 10 for JPI with +207. After adding 20 scored daughters and 11 for production, Jimmie made significant increases in nearly every area. With his high type (+1.70 PTAT), great udders (+5.72 JUI) and the longevity of his daughters (+2.8 PL), Jimmie will be in high demand by most Jersey breeders. Jimmie who was released in May 2007, is a Barber Bill son out of an E-90% Bold daughter and then the E-95% Berretta Jade as his grandam.
014JE00406 Wilderness Blueprint improved to +205 JPI and continues his leadership as a high JPI sire. He made nice increases in milk (+794 PTAM) and protein (+50 P and +.11% P). Blueprint is a high type (+1.10 PTAT) Heino son from a VG-88% Berretta and an E-90% Barber grandam. With this pedigree, he combines the components and outcross genetics with the pattern of type that the Jersey breed demands.
With the addition of 335 daughters, 014JE00365 O.F. Mannix Rebel–ET saw improvement in his NM$ to +358. He also had increases in PL (+1.2), PTAM (+1041), PTAP (+41) and SCS (+2.95). Rebel is a highly reliable sire with Production at 97%R and Type (+1.20) at 95%R. In addition, his JPI now stands at +173.
A new Jersey PACE graduate is 014JE00415 Ralaine Paramount Peter. He is a Paramount son from a 1st crop Mor daughter who is scored VG-86%. Peter enters Accelerated Genetics lineup as a solid production and type improver with +1146 PTAM and +1.60 PTAT. He sires nice udders (+3.67 JUI) and his daughters have shallow udders with a strong udder cleft. Peter’s solid linear and ‘no holes’ proof make him a bull that fits easily into any breeding program.
