Amber Elliott, Marshall, WI has been selected as the Accelerated Genetics Public Relations and Advertising Intern.
During the summer, Amber will be responsible for interviewing, researching and writing feature articles for the Genetic Trends newsletter, writing news releases, designing promotional brochures, helping with the development of advertising campaigns, and representing Accelerated Genetics at various conferences, conventions, dairy shows and events throughout the summer.
Amber grew up on her family's registered Holstein and Jersey farm, Partee Holsteins & Jerseys. On the farm she has been involve with all aspects of calf and cow care and has been actively showing cattle for numerous years. Amber has been extremely active in the Junior Holstein and Junior Jersey Associations in Wisconsin, along with being involved in 4-H and FFA. She is currently the president of the Dane County Junior Holstein Association, Secretary of the Junior Activities Committee for the Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association, and a committee chair for the local dairy promotion organization. Also, through her leadership role with the Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association, she has been one of the main committee members planning for the 2008 National Junior Holstein Convention that will be held in Wisconsin this June.
This fall Amber will return to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where she is majoring in Marketing Communications with an emphasis in Agriculture. At the university Amber is an active member of the Dairy Club, Sigma Alpha and Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow.

Accelerated Genetics is excited to announce Lindsey Lepke as a summer Sales and Service Intern in Region 14 for Southern Wisconsin. She will be providing relief A.I. breeding services along with reproductive consulting, and assist with area sales efforts.
Lepke grew up on her family's 50-cow herd, in Viroqua, Wis., where she is the Dairy Herd Manager. She has also worked at two other dairy farms as their Dairy Technician.
Lepke is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where she is majoring in Animal Science with a Dairy emphasis and Agribusiness. At school she serves as a School of Agriculture Ambassador and she is on the Agriculture Student Council. This past January she studied agriculture in Ghana, West Africa, through UW-Platteville.

Craig Pagenkopf will join Accelerated Genetics for the summer as a Marketing Services Intern. Pagenkopf will be responsible for selecting and picturing sire daughters, he will also assist the Marketing Services Director in organizing tours for domestic and international groups.
Pagenkopf resides on his family's 90-cow, 320 acre registered Holstein Farm, Paradise-D Holsteins, in Lancaster, Wis. On his family farm he serves as assistant herdsman and is in charge of farm maintenance and the care of young stock. He also worked for Majestic View Dairy for one year where he cared for the young stock and springers as well as performed farm maintenance.
This fall Pagenkopf will be a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he is majoring in Animal Science with a dairy emphasis. At school he is involved in the UWP Dairy Club as well as the Farmhouse Fraternity. Pagenkopf is also highly involved in the Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association.

Accelerated Genetics is excited to announce Kate Probert, Mansfield, Mo., as one of the Marketing Services Interns. Probert will be responsible for selecting and picturing sire daughters; she will also assist the Marketing Services Director in organizing tours for domestic and international groups.
Probert grew up on a small Holstein operation where they had 14 milking animals. She has also worked on the University of Missouri Foremost Dairy Farm with about 250 milking animals. This past fall Probert interned with another A.I. company.
This fall Probert will be a senior at the University of Missouri-Columbia where she is pursuing a degree in Animal Science. She is very active in the Missouri Holstein Association as well as the National Junior Holstein Association. Recently she was picked as a national Distinguished Junior Member (DJM) semifinalist and will be competing in June for a finalist position.

Mike Reps of Lewiston, Minn., will be joining Accelerated Genetics as a Sales and Service Intern for Region 12 in Southeast Minnesota, Northwest Wisconsin and Northeast Iowa for the summer. He will be providing relief A.I. services along with reproductive consulting, and assist with area sales efforts.
Reps grew up on a 300 acre 60 cow commercial dairy farm in Southeast Minnesota. Last summer he interned at Gar-Lin Dairy Farm in Eyota, Minn, where he served as the assistant heifer manager.
Currently Reps is a student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where he is pursing a bachelor's degree in Dairy Science. At school he is actively involved in the Dairy Club as well as being a member of 4-H and FFA. |
